For 75 years, the Holland family has owned and operated a successful dairy farm on Maryland’s Coast. As trends in milk consumption shifted – and to sustain their operations for the next generation – the Hollands pivoted, turning their 200-acre farm into a USDA production center and expanding their product line with small batch artisanal ice cream, gourmet cheeses, yogurt, butter and grass-fed beef.
Chesapeake Bay Farms is also a family destination with 220 milking cows, a petting zoo and a year-round shop serving their delicious dairy products. From month to month, they operate a second farm stand in Berlin. And, thanks to their children, the company added a delivery service to bring Chesapeake’s fresh-from-the-farm-dairy to wholesale and retail customers on the lower eastern shore.
