Are you ready to return to some normalcy? The town of Ocean City recently received approval from the Worcester County Health Department to add some summer events to their summer lineup! With safety measures such as physical distancing in place, we are pleased to announce the return of special events such as Sundaes in the Park, Beach Dance Parties, White Marlin Open, ArtX, and Sunset Park Party Nights!
Sundaes in the Park
Welcome back Sundaes in the Park! Held each Sunday through September 6th, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, enjoy live music with some sweet ice cream and cold beverages. Admission to Sundaes in the Park is FREE, just remember to bring a picnic blanket and beach chairs to lounge on, and stick around for the fireworks at 9:00 pm.
Beach Dance Parties
Ready to dance the night away in OCMD? OC Beach Dance Parties are returning to the Caroline Street Stage! Bring your dancing shoes and sway to the rhythm every Thursday in July and August, from 8:30 pm – 10:30 pm.
White Marlin Open
The White Marlin Open announced that it plans to hold the 47th annual event as scheduled. The tournament begins on August 3 and will run through August 7. Participants will follow government guidelines on social distancing procedures and crowd limits. Held at the Harbour Island Marina, the tournament runs for five days with different fishing categories such as white marlin, blue marlin, tuna, wahoo, shark, swordfish, and dolphin.
Sunset Park Party Nights
A new event coming to town this year is Sunset Park Party Nights, a joint project hosted by the town of Ocean City and the Ocean City Development Corporation (OCDC). This event will be held every Thursday night through the end of August on South Division Street and the Bay, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Admission is FREE and food and beverages will be available for purchase. It is recommended that you bring your own seating. On August 27th is has been confirmed that there will be a food truck present, and craft beers will be available on July 16th and August 27th.
ArtX
ArtX will also return to Northside Park on August 22nd and 23rd! This event showcases the work of local artists and amateur filmmakers. Enjoy interactive activities and on-site workshops to hone your skills with the experts, with live music to keep you on your feet and moving! Gourmet vendors, food trucks, beer, and wine will also be on-site to enjoy.
