The Worcester County Office of Tourism and Economic Development (WCTED), in partnership with the Town
of Snow Hill invites the public to a Community Town Hall Engagement event on Tuesday, July 15, from 5:00
p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Worcester County Government Center Board Room. The meeting address is 1 West
Market Street, Snow Hill, MD 21863.

This open forum will focus on the future of outdoor recreation and adventure in Snow Hill, with particular
attention to opportunities along the Pocomoke River. As part of a collaborative destination assessment,
community members will have the chance to share feedback, ideas, and vision for enhancing local experiences
for both residents and visitors. National Park Service Chesapeake Gateways staff will also share opportunities
available within the organization and its available programs. Economic Development Director of Snow Hill
Lorissa Mcallister states, “This is an incredible opportunity for Snow Hill to bring stakeholders together with
the coaching of the National Park Service and Worcester County’s Economic Development and Tourism Office
to assess our community’s natural assets and chart a path forward to improve their functionality and
attraction. We hope to see full community engagement to ensure all perspectives are included in this planning
process.”
Everyone is welcome and no registration is required. Light refreshments will be provided, and attendees can
expect a welcoming, open-dialogue environment where all voices are encouraged. “We want to hear directly
from the community,” said WCTED director Melanie Pursel “Snow Hill has incredible natural and cultural
assets, and this is an opportunity to help shape how they’re experienced and shared moving forward.” For
