The Maryland’s Coast advocate program was created in the fall of 2022. This group of advocate individuals cheer our department on in the many initiatives we are working on. Joe Schanno

Joe is a lifelong resident of Worcester County and works for the Bank of Ocean City as a business banker. Joe's favorite thing about his job is seeing local people's dreams come to fruition. He enjoys being able to start and support small businesses or families get their first homes. In Joe's free time, he likes to explore Eastern Shore small towns and travel internationally.

Chelsea Remines

Chelsea is an Eastern Shore native and owner of Tides & Vine in Snow Hill. She loves being involved in the community and bringing new events to Snow Hill. In her free time she enjoys traveling, surfing, and being in the sunshine.

Michael Day

Michael is retired and helps Worcester County by filling the Salisbury Regional Airport’s kiosks with visitor guides. He worked many years within Worcester County and now resides in Salisbury. In his free time, he enjoys selling and buying items.

Shae Von Marsh

Shae is the proprietress of Chanceford Hall Bed and Breakfast in Snow Hill. Shae moved to Maryland’s Coast in 2020 with her husband and two sons. Her favorite thing at the Bed and Breakfast is meeting people from around the world and sharing conversation over cocktails and providing a filling 3-course breakfast to her guests. In Shae’s down time, she enjoys posting videos on social media, singing karaoke and going to events.

Marc Heim

Marc works as the assistant park manager for the Pocomoke River State Park. Marc loves being able to protect and share Maryland’s natural, cultural, historical and recreational resources for all people to enjoy. He likes to brag that he gets to work where others go for their time off… In his spare time, he likes being outdoors and going on hikes with his wife and dogs. 

Yancey Carapico

I am the the owner/ operator of The Cap’ns Slice. I opened up The Cap’ns Slice in April of 2023. I had prior opened up Cosa Pizza in Chincoteague, VA in March of 2019. I have a passion for making the best pizza that I can. And also have a passion for Worcester County, all the areas surrounding Ocean City, but specifically Berlin. I love the town of Berlin, the locals, the local business owners and the visitors. I enjoy trying to provide the best product that I can to my customers, which I consider all like friends and family. I am honored and humbled to have been voted the best pizza in Worcester County in our first year of operation. And hope to be able to provide for the the people of Worcester County for many years to come. I am a big supporter of all of my Worcester County business owner friend old and new.

"Coach"

Coach is the operations manager, production director and on-air personality for Irie Radio with Ocean FM 98.1. The station is located within Seacrets in Ocean City, MD and reaches the local community and visitors throughout the east coast and Delaware. His favorite part of his job is making connections and helping market how awesome Worcester County is, no matter the season.

Ali & Jamie Jacobs

This dynamic couple founded and own T.C. Studios Arts and Entertainment since 2016. Ali is the artist and business manager while Jamie assists with promotions and marketing. They both love working within the community with other professional artists and providing a creative outlet in Worcester County and beyond. In their free time, they spend time with their family and help serve at their church.

Brett & Megan Hines

Brett and Megan began homebrewing their mead in Colorado
before moving to Berlin, not long after the move, they opened The Buzz Meadery,
a local’s favorite. Recently they took their love of farm life and healthy
living and birthed a new business – Jun & Juice. While running two
businesses and being a huge part of the Town of Berlin, they are first and
foremost, proud parents to two wonderful children.

Garrett Neville

Garrett is the strategic content and marketing specialist at D3. He gets to work with businesses to help elevate them and promote all of the amazing things that there is to see and do on the Eastern Shore. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Theresa began working as a client success manager for D3 after graduating from Salisbury University with a Bachelor’s in Marketing. She loves getting to live & work on the Eastern Shore, helping businesses of all industries and sizes reach their goals. Her free time is often spent enjoying the beach, playing guitar, and spending time with friends.
