Costen House Museum
The Costen House is a beautiful architectural building, dating back to the early 19th century that provides a glimpse into the lives of its former residents. The museum showcases rooms full of authentic furnishings, for a feel of the 19th and early 20th centuries. As you stroll through the house, time stands still with the daily routines, joys, and struggles of those who once lived here.
The Costen House was built by Dr. Isaac Costen after the Civil War and was lived in by his family members for over a century.
Furnace Town Historic Site
In Snow Hill, the Furnace Town Historic Site is a living testament to the region’s industrial heritage. This outdoor museum transports you back to the 19th century, where you can explore the old Nassawango Iron Furnace, which is an integral part of Worcester County’s history.

The museum is open during many county historical open houses and museum days to promote its mission of preservation and education. Guided tours are also available by appointment.
