The Worcester County, MD Department of Environmental Programs is responsible for a wide range of initiatives and regulations that help to preserve our area’s natural resources and limit land use activities. This includes evaluations, permits, and local system management to maintain these efforts. The department manages county programs like land preservation, forest conservation, watershed planning, and more.
The environmental organization, Go Green OC, is dedicated to promoting zero waste, recycling, and composting in the Ocean City, MD area. The goal is to help OCMD become the first zero-waste resort town in the nation by taking action, awareness, and education.
