A professional pastry chef and former culinary school instructor, John channeled his passion for baking into a full-time venture. After considering locations throughout Delmarva, he was enticed to locate in Snow Hill while participating in the weekly farmer’s market. And, thanks to the town’s Main Street program, John received a $10,000 small business/VLT loan to help renovate the space. Today, loyal customers from surrounding offices and neighborhoods – along with tourists in search of his decadent eclairs and Italian bakery specialties – flock to Del Vecchio’s.
Prior to August 2019, John owned and operated a bakery out of Fenwick Island and was a local school teacher in Lewes and Ocean Pines. He has 40 plus years of experience in the baking industry, ranging from baking instructor to successful business owner.
