Paul M. Jones Lumber Company, Snow Hill

Milling Maryland’s loblolly pines – prized for their strength and sustainability – one Worcester company has provided lumber for homes and business for 100+ years. Family-owned and operated since its founding in 1918 by Paul M. Jones, Sr. and subsequently led by his son Paul M. Jones, Jr. the company is run by his daughter and her family. Owner and office manager Barbara Pusey, husband Kenny (president), and sons Hunter (operations manager) and Logan (maintenance manager), carry on their family’s traditions from their base in Snow Hill.

Jones’ 50 employees harvest, mill and deliver lumber building products on the East Coast and around the world. Their wood was used to restore the Statue of Liberty and forms the foundation of Ocean City’s Boardwalk. A natural and renewable resource from managed forests, every part of the tree – bark, sawdust and chips – are turned into products such as mulch, poultry bedding and paper.
