Located in downtown Berlin, Maryland is On What Grounds Coffee House. Inside this quaint business lies delicious coffee, pastry treats and homemade chocolates. From hot teas to ice coffees, there is surely something for everyone inside.

Dana Gottloeb, is the owner/operator and explains that this building used to be an attorney’s office, when he took ownership in 2015 it was decided to continue the legacy and use a logo that represented law and order. From there their merchandise line expanded with coffee mugs, shirts and stickers. His wife, Denise makes unique Old Bay chocolates that are now wholesaled across the local region.

Their business is filled with local art as well. Some pieces include beautiful photography from Assateague Island and beach scenes. The community is invited to sit back and enjoy the downtown street scene and meet with friends all while enjoying an caffeinated beverage.
