In 2016, Michaela embarked on her herbalist journey, diving into the field after obtaining her post-baccalaureate certification in Herbal Medicine from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. Since then, she has not only taught classes on herbal medicine but has also balanced raising her two children. In 2021, Michaela added to her credentials by earning a certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching from MUIH and completing a Master of Science in Clinical Herbal Medicine.

Supported by her family, The Little Green Witch Apothecary took root at the Berlin Farmers Market in 2020. After a successful inaugural year, Michaela expanded her offerings, establishing a storefront business in May 2023 within the Healing Arts Center of the Eastern Shore. At the shop, Michaela is dedicated to educating the community about the medicinal properties of herbs, emphasizing their potential to enhance everyday well-being. Visitors can explore a range of items, including vintage tea pot sets, DIY tea kits, local honey, and even enjoy a cup of complimentary tea.
