Matthew farms and sells an array of fruits such as blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, cantaloupes, watermelons, pawpaws, Asian persimmons, some vegetables, and gourmet mushrooms. His goods may be purchased at the Berlin Farmers Market on Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm during May through September.
Matthew, an avid and knowledgeable mushroom hunter, offers Mushroom 101 and Foraging Classes when delicious fungi pop-up. Single Saturday classes offer something unique to do while vacationing in Ocean City. For $39/person, participants learn mushroom biology, hear about cutting-edge research, identify 15 or more gourmet mushrooms growing locally, and enjoy a cooking demo! The 2022 classes are July 23; August 6, 13, and 27; September 3, 10, 17 and 24. Registrations may be completed online here.
