For four generations, the Dolle’s have owned and operated their eponymous Candyland serving handcrafted chocolates, saltwater taffy and caramel popcorn. Their grandfather Rudolph Dolle opened his flagship shop on OC’s famous boardwalk in 1910 and the rest – as they say – is history.
After assuming leadership roles from their parents in 2001, Anna and Andrew now oversee a sweet empire producing 350,000 pounds of candy annually for millions of loyal customers. The brother-sister duo expanded by opening shops in West OC (2016) and Berlin (2020). Dolle’s maintain a reputation for quality, taste and customer experience. With 35 year-round employees, Dolle’s is also one of the largest wholesalers of salt water taffy in the U.S.
Thanks to the county’s Manufacturing Tax Credit, Dolle’s was able to expand its wholesale line and create year-round jobs in a typically seasonal business.
