Running a comprehensive health system across 25 locations serving more than 63,000 patients annually has been Michael Franklin’s passion and purpose since 2005. Drawn to Maryland’s Coast by the opportunity to build Atlantic General’s physician network and care services, he oversaw development of the John H. ‘Jack’ Burbage, Jr. Regional Cancer Care Center. Opened in 2018, the state-of-the-art facility inspired Dr. Manoj Jain to be part of a comprehensive cancer care center that would guarantee his patients convenience, continuity of care and advanced treatments.
From primary care and pediatrics to eye care, preventive services and oncology, Atlantic General’s more than 1,100 employees and 167 affiliated community physicians and providers – are dedicated to the health and wellbeing of Worcester County residents and visitors. The not-for-profit care network is an economic engine for the region and a haven for health, healing and well-being.
