Wyatt Harrison, Owner

Plak That, West Ocean City

Intrigued by the printed wood signs displayed near a boardwalk surf shop, Wyatt Harrison decided to try his hand creating blank planks he could customize with photos or art. Working from his parent’s garage, and thanks to a loyal customer base, the business soon outgrew its home-based studio. With support from family and a $81,000 VLT loan, Wyatt opened Plak That in 2013 in the West Ocean City Business Park off Sunset Avenue. Today his growing custom art and print shop occupies 2,500 sq. ft. space, employs four people full-time .and produces thousands of printed wood, metal and acrylic signs annually. And, with new technology and custom CNC router, Plak That has added design and production of large scale and 3-D commercial signs.
