Great Public Schools

Worcester County’s renowned public education system is comprised of 14 exceptional schools serving 6,500 students. Nine are designated National Blue Ribbon Schools by the U.S. Department of Education. The County also has five private schools. There are three higher education institutions located in close proximity: University of Maryland Eastern Shore (Princess Anne), Salisbury University and Wor-Wic Community College (Salisbury).

Worcester County’s flagship Recreation Center is a 60,000-sq.-ft. multi-purpose fitness facility with indoor racquet courts, running track, classrooms and exercise gym. We have more than three dozen parks including the Pocomoke River State Park and world-renowned Assateague Island National Seashore. Our exceptional county park system also includes two nature parks at Isle of Wight and Herring Creek and 15 boat ramps.
