Quality of Life

Thanks to excellent public schools – including nine that boast the prestigious “Blue Ribbon” designation – Maryland’s Coast is a great place to raise a family. Strengthened by safe communities, affordable homes and outstanding recreational facilities, we enjoy an exceptional quality of life. Two excellent health systems serve our 53,000+ year-round residents: Atlantic General Hospital and TidalHealth. And our affordable tax structure is a big plus for retirees and business owners.

Accessible Location

As Maryland’s only seaside community, we’re strategically located in the heart of the Delmarva Peninsula, offering ready access to major metropolitan markets – just 2.5 hours from Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Norfolk.
